Our Chaga is Soil Association certified organic, meeting strict standards for organic harvesting, processing and traceability. This certification independently verifies how the mushroom is sourced, handled and extracted, supporting transparency from forest to finished extract powder. Sourcing
Chaga is the only mushroom in our range that is wild-harvested. It is sustainably gathered from birch trees in clean Nordic regions, including Finland, by the Sámi people using traditional, low-impact methods. Harvesting practices are carefully managed to protect host trees and surrounding ecosystems, supporting long-term forest health and clear traceability.
Fresh-to-dry ratio
This Chaga has a 1:10 fresh-to-dry ratio, meaning ten parts of fresh mushroom are needed to produce one part dried mushroom. This explains how much raw mushroom material is represented once natural moisture is removed.
How much mushroom is in the extract?
Each container contains approximately 30,000 mg of dried Chaga fruiting body, equivalent to around 300,000 mg of fresh mushroom. This reflects the amount of raw mushroom material used to produce the finished extract powder.
Extraction process
We use a triple-extraction process combining water extraction, alcohol extraction and ultrasonic-assisted extraction. Water and alcohol are used to extract different naturally occurring compounds. Ultrasonic-assisted extraction uses sound waves to help gently break down the mushroom’s structure during processing, supporting a more complete and efficient extraction. This approach is widely used to support high bioavailability — up to 90% — by helping release naturally occurring compounds more efficiently during extraction, resulting in a more concentrated extract powder.
